AI AGENT HARNESS
AI Agent Harness for Windows — A Canvas, Not a Cage
In 2026 the interesting layer is not “another AI IDE.” It is the harness: how you keep Claude Code, Codex, Gemini, Cursor, and Qwen alive on one surface, hand them MCP tools, speak to them, and save the layout as a session. VibeFuse is that harness — free, Windows 10+.
What a serious agent harness includes
Real CLIs as widgets
Claude Code, Codex, Gemini, Cursor Agent, Qwen — live PTYs, not a reimplemented agent loop.
Vibe Agent + Jarvis
A first-party assistant that tiles the canvas, types into terminals, calls MCP, and writes SKILL.md packages.
Named sessions
Review layout, coding layout, research layout — clone and mute without killing shells.
Bring-your-own model
OpenAI, Ollama local/cloud, Gemini, Groq, OpenRouter, Plugsky, NIM, Featherless, Custom.
Skills you can sell
Standard Agent Skills on disk, marketplace sync, Stripe payouts if you price them.
$0 harness fee
Pay agent vendors if you want. VibeFuse itself is a complimentary VF- license.
Harness vs IDE vs chat tab
An IDE owns the file tree. A chat tab owns one thread. A harness owns the loop: prompt, run, inspect, rearrange. VibeFuse lets you design that loop as a dashboard — then ask Jarvis to redesign it. That is vibe coding with a memory of layout. The discipline of deliberately designing that loop is called harness engineering — see the guide.

AI agent harness FAQ
What is an AI agent harness?
A harness is the layer that keeps coding agents, terminals, browsers, tools, and voice in one loop. VibeFuse is a free Windows harness: widgets on a canvas, MCP, sessions, and a marketplace — not a replacement editor for Cursor or VS Code.
Is VibeFuse an IDE?
It is closer to a vibe-coding environment or custom AI dashboard. You can design layouts and let Jarvis rearrange them. File editing still happens in terminals and agent CLIs.
Which agents can I run?
Claude Code, OpenAI Codex CLI, Gemini CLI, Cursor Agent CLI, Qwen Code, plus Vibe Agent (first-party) and a system Terminal.
Is the harness free in 2026?
Yes. VibeFuse is $0 with a VF- key. Agent vendors may still charge for their CLIs.
