SPEECH TO TEXT
VocalFuse turns your voice into text on your PC. Hold the pill in Transcribe mode for local speech-to-text — paste into email, docs, Slack, or code editors without uploading audio. Upgrade to Pro for AI note taking and meeting capture.
Basic $5/mo unlimited dictation · ~~57 MB model · Auto-punctuation · Windows 10+
Cloud speech to text round-trips every phrase to a datacenter. VocalFuse runs a local transcription model on your CPU — responsive dictation with professional auto-punctuation.
A minimal Windows 10+ overlay keeps speech to text one gesture away. Drag the grip to reposition; the pill never steals focus from your target app.
The ~~57 MB model stores under C:\VocalFuse\models\. Dictation keeps working without internet once downloaded.
Pro ($10/mo) adds Note Taking (AI summaries + Account → Notes), Continuous mode (60-second background clips), and optional Gmail delivery — still with local transcription.
There is no Ctrl+Shift chord. Interact with the pill directly: hold the body in Transcribe mode, speak, release to paste. For longer capture, switch to Pro Note Taking (click start/stop). Full UI details in VocalFuse docs.
In Transcribe mode, hold the always-on-top pill, speak, and release. Local transcription injects text at your cursor via clipboard — works in browsers, Slack, Word, VS Code, and any focused window.
Yes. Audio transcribes on your PC with a local model (~57 MB). Nothing is sent to a cloud speech API for dictation. Pro note sync uploads text only.
After the transcription model downloads on first launch, hold-to-speak dictation works offline. Internet is needed for license checks and optional Pro note sync.
Win+H stops on pauses and lacks AI summaries. VocalFuse keeps the mic open until you release the pill, works offline on Windows 10+, and adds Pro note taking. See the Windows Voice Typing alternative page on this site.
Basic ($5/mo): unlimited local hold-to-speak dictation, always-on-top pill widget, product key, and app updates. Transcribe even works without a key for local dictation only.
