Is there free voice transcription for developers?
Yes. VibeFuse includes free local speech-to-text on Windows — hold the voice dock, speak, and get text for prompts and notes without a transcription subscription.
Does free voice transcription upload my audio?
VibeFuse transcribes on-device for the voice dock workflow. Audio is not sold as a cloud transcription product; keep sensitive work local by design.
How is this different from VocalFuse?
VocalFuse is the paid dictation and AI note-taking product for any Windows app. VibeFuse’s free voice transcription is built into the vibe-coding harness for agent prompts and canvas workflows.
Does free STT work offline?
After local models are installed, transcription can run without sending audio to a cloud STT API. Agent CLIs and chat providers may still need network access for their own services.
