Settings — all 14 tabs
The Settings dialog is titled Settings. Fourteen tabs sit in four sidebar groups: Workspace, Assistants, Library, and System. A Search field at the top of the sidebar filters tab names and subtitles. Older focus labels Tools and MCP still open the current Extensions tab.
The Settings dialog
Open it from the gear on the title bar (right of the Beta version badge) or from File → Settings. Escape closes the dialog. Changes save as you go — there is no separate Apply button.
| Open from | What you get |
|---|---|
| Title-bar gear | Dialog title Settings, last-used tab restored |
| File → Settings | Same dialog |
| Deep link / focus alias | Tools, MCP, MCPs, or Mcp all land on Extensions |
| Sidebar Search | Filters the 14 tabs by name and subtitle |

General
Workspace group. Subtitle: Working folder and how agents install.
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Default working directory | Used when an agent has no folder of its own. Empty = your home folder. Session workspace paths can still override this per canvas. |
| Install missing agents on launch | When VibeFuse starts, install any agents that are not on this machine yet. |
| Install missing agents when you open them | If you open an agent that is not installed, install it before it starts. |
Appearance
Subtitle: Theme, accent, styling packs, and marketplace listings. Theme the shell here. Styling-pack publish is on this tab — not Marketplace.
| Control | Detail |
|---|---|
| Theme | Nine built-in presets (table below) |
| Accent color | Hex picker; each theme has a default accent you can override |
| Reduce motion | Cuts shell animation for the record orb and particles |
| Record orb | Style and animation from an installed styling pack, or Match appearance |
| Styling packs | Loaded from C:\vibefuse\styling. Apply a pack, then List / Update / Publish / Unpublish from this same tab |

| 2 | Maroon & Gold |
| 3 | Obsidian |
| 4 | Blood Ember |
| 5 | Toxic Void |
| 6 | Arctic Blade |
| 7 | Copper Wraith |
| 8 | Neon Noir |
| 9 | Porcelain Light |
Pack authoring: Design a styling pack.
Agent
Subtitle: CLI agents and the model they use. This tab is the LLM for Jarvis (the canvas chat) and voice, plus installable Agent CLIs. Terminal is not on this tab — Hide / Show Terminal lives on Widgets.
| Section | Controls |
|---|---|
| LLM provider | 15-card grid. Each card keeps its own key, endpoint, and model. Switching a card restores the last values you used. Test connection and Refresh models are per card. |
| System prompt | Optional instructions appended to Jarvis, voice requests, and recording summaries. |
| Hermes Agent | Hermes URL — default http://localhost:8787. New Hermes widgets load this address. |
| Tool call budget | Max tool call iterations — default 48, minimum 1, no upper cap. Raise it if long tool runs stop early. |
| Agent CLIs | Rescan, then per CLI: Show / Hide, Save skills to {name} (copies every VibeFuse skill into that CLI’s skill folder), Install / Uninstall. |
LLM provider grid (15)

You can also switch Provider and Model from the title-bar Agent menu without opening Settings.
Voice
Subtitle: Microphone, speakers, and wake word. Devices and the Jarvis wake-word toggle live here. Piper voice, speed, and volume also appear on Local Servers for the TTS endpoint.
Full mode list (Normal, Note-Taking, Transcribe), hold-to-talk, Fn hold, and status-bar chips: /docs/voice.
Local Servers
Subtitle: Piper, Whisper, HyperFrames, Skill Seekers, and web crawl. Start/stop and endpoints for on-device engines.

|---|---|
| Piper | TTS endpoint, Test Piper |
| Whisper | STT endpoint and model (restarts local STT) |
| HyperFrames | Start / Restart / Stop Studio, Open widget |
| Skill Seekers | Connect the local docs → skill scraper |
| Web crawl | SearXNG + crawl sidecar endpoints |
Ports, toggles, and fallbacks: /docs/local-servers.
Extensions
Subtitle: Connect Google, GitHub, Discord, Telegram, Linear, and MCP servers. This is the MCP tab. Aliases Tools and MCP still resolve here.
Connect branded cards (Google, GitHub, Discord, Telegram, Linear) and add custom stdio MCP servers. Jarvis and voice call every connected tool the same way they call canvas tools.
Card-by-card setup: /docs/extensions.
Skills
Subtitle: Local skill packages and marketplace listings. Publish skills from this tab — Marketplace is widgets only.
| Item | Detail |
|---|---|
| Folder | C:\vibefuse\skills — one folder per skill, each with SKILL.md |
| Cards | Name, Local / Marketplace badge, version, Hide / Show, Remove folder |
| Publish | List, update, publish, and unpublish skill listings here |
| Rail | Visible skills appear under Skills. Hide does not delete the folder |
Authoring: Write a skill.
Notes
Subtitle: Session notes and transcripts. Voice Note-Taking sessions land here after they summarize and upload. Browse, edit, and delete notes grouped by session. The same library is on the web at Account → Notes.
Note-Taking needs a provider on Agent and a valid VF- key. Modes: Voice dock.
Widgets
Subtitle: Installed widgets and local packages. Built-in, local, and marketplace widgets. Terminal Hide/Show is here — not on Agent.
| Control | Detail |
|---|---|
| Catalog | Built-in, Local, and marketplace cards with Hide / Show and Remove for local folders |
| Terminal Hide / Show | Toggles the Terminal rail item. The system shell is always available when detected; this only changes rail visibility |
| Claude CLI server / FreeClaudeCode | Local proxy on 127.0.0.1:8082 for Claude CLI widgets |
| Code Studio GitHub token | PAT used by the Code Studio widget (and GitHub flows that share it) |
| Widgets folder | C:\vibefuse\widgets — drop a manifest.json + index.html folder here |
What each widget does on the canvas: Workspace widget catalog.
Marketplace
Subtitle: License, listings, and publishing. Widgets only. Skills publish from Skills. Styling packs publish from Appearance.
| Button | What it does |
|---|---|
| Refresh | Reload local widget folders and your live listings |
| Open marketplace | Opens the browse webview (same site as /marketplace) |
| List on marketplace | Upload a local widget folder and create the listing |
| Update listing | Push new files and metadata for a widget already listed (same manifest id) |
| Publish | Make an uploaded listing live |
| Unpublish | Hide the listing without deleting the local folder |
The tab also shows license status (your VF- key) and the widgets folder. Seller payouts and listing polish: Sell on the marketplace.
Updates
Subtitle: What's new in VibeFuse. The in-app release feed — the same timeline as the website updates page. Featured bubbles from a ship also appear here. The title-bar Update badge jumps to this tab when a newer build is available.
History
Subtitle: Recent voice conversations. Transcripts and spoken replies from the voice dock. Clear the list when you want a clean slate. Session notes (summaries you meant to keep) live on Notes, not here.
About
Subtitle: Version, license, and updates.
| Block | What you see |
|---|---|
| Version | VibeFuse logo and the installed version (same number as the title-bar Beta badge) |
| Data folder | C:\vibefuse — canvas sessions, widget positions, and sizes. Sessions file: C:\vibefuse\sessions.json. Open folder reveals it in Explorer |
| License | Linked VF- key and Fuse Intelligence profile, or a prompt to paste a key |
| Updates | Check again pings the version API; Update downloads and runs the installer when a newer build exists; Open downloads page opens the public downloads folder |
